“First and foremost, a Warrior, adaptive and confident who is trained and equipped to perform
warrior tasks and battle drills; second competent in skills required for current battlefield position and unit of assignment...
Every Soldier a rifleman first, Every Rifleman a Warrior…”
GEN Schoomaker Arrival Message, July 2003
Problem:
National Guard/US Army Reserve Combat Support/ Combat Service Support (CS/CSS) unit Soldiers mobilizing with little or
no training in MOUT, Convoy Operations or Small Unit Tactics (SUT as it applies to Force Protection).
How much training do your troops get?: CT3i knows the mobilization requirements of units deploying OCONUS today.
Mobilization stations have limited time, manpower and resources to provide fundamental warrior skills. CT3i can fill
the gap, long before your unit deploys.
Program:
What CT3I provides: Individual and collective combat skills training in conventional military operations in urban
terrain (MOUT) convoy operations (CONVOY OPS), and small unit tactics (SUT) in support of Force Protection. All
training is based on Theater Specific Required Training (TSRT).
Solution
1. Initial Training
2. Sustainment Training
3. Train the Trainer: CS/CSS NCOs and junior officer training.
4. Train the Force: Individual and collective training of CS/CSS Soldiers.
